I read this in an obituary several years ago and it spoke to me. I hope for those of you who have lost your Mothers, that something in this verse will comfort you.
Your Mother is always with you.
She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street.
She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick and perfume she wore.
She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well.
She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day, the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of the rainbow.
She is Christmas morning. Your Mother lives inside your laughter and she is crystallized in every teardrop.
A Mother shows every emotion… happiness, sadness, fear, jealousy, anger, helplessness, excitement, joy, sorrow … and all the while, hoping and praying that you will only know the good feelings in life.
She is the place you came from, your first home and she’s the map you follow with every step you take.
She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy, but nothing on earth can separate you…
NOT TIME… NOT SPACE… NOT EVEN DEATH…

Hello hello Kay!
I wanted to thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for introducing me to Mrs.Thompson. Meeting her helped me deal with my mother’s passing in ways that even the best book or the best therapist couldn’t have. It was EXACTLY what I needed.
Congratulations on your blog…I love it!
See you soon
Lisa xo
Dear Lisa,
I’m so pleased that the experience was a positive one for you. It was for me also when I lost my Sister. It is comforting to know that they aren’t “gone” and that they know what’s going on with us and we can still get messages from and to them. Love doesn’t die, thank goodness for that. You are a lovely girl with a beautiful spirit. I felt an immediate connection to you. This is your journey and your Mother’s passing is part of it.
Best wishes to you and your family for today and everyday to come.
Kay
Kay,
Thank You for attending my father’s funeral today. I was surprised and honoured that you would take the time, from what I’m sure was a busy week-end, to support a fellow worker. It was so nice to find out that Kerri-Anne also performed your marriage ceremony. She gave such a nice sermon … I’m sure my Dad was smiling and singing along.
Steve, what started out as a kindness to you ended up as a reward for me. That was the most uplifting and inspiring service I have ever attended. You are very fortunate to have the parents you have and it is reflected in your character. This is your legacy.
